Online Return Policies
Please read carefully. Return authorization requests for applicable merchandise must be made in writing by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. A return authorization # will be provided. Any items returned without an RA# will be refused.
If you chose to cancel your online order a 5% processing fee will be deducted from the total.
Claims for incorrect items or damaged/missing goods must be processed within 2 days of received date (received date according to delivery records).
Returned items must include a copy of your invoice and return authorization number received in advance from us prior to the items shipped back to us.
Items which cannot be returned or exchanged:
Machines, parts/accessories, special orders, cut items, thread, dress forms, gift cards, software, furniture, irons or steamers. Other exceptions may apply – check with store for details.
Note that deposits are non-refundable and layaways are final. Deposits are non transferable after the first 10 days.
Shipments returned to us will be prepaid by the customer.
When items are shipped in error by us we will issue a full credit to the customer (including return shipment cost).
Shortages in shipments must be reported to us within 2 days of receiving items.
Returned merchandise must be complete, clean and unused and in its original packaging.
A restocking fee of 20% will apply to any used or open products or packages.
Exchanges are subject to 20% restocking + shipping costs of original order.
New order would be sent free shipping if applicable.
Items that came with any bonus items, free items etc. that are not returned will be charged the full retail value of the missing item and will be deducted from credit issued.

Indian Status and Online Orders
Distribution Channels where the HST Point-of-Sale Exemption is not Permitted
“Vendors are not allowed to provide the point-of-sale exemption for qualifying property or services when purchased via the Internet or through other distribution channels for which the presentation of a Certificate of Indian Status card to verify eligibility is not possible. In addition, the point-of-sale exemption will not be credited on goods imported by mail or courier.
When Status Indians, Indian bands and councils of an Indian band acquire qualifying property or services through these distribution channels, they may claim a refund from the Ontario Ministry of Finance of the eight per cent Ontario component of the HST paid.” (Source)
If you purchased an item and the price is reduced or goes on sale within 10 days of your purchase we will issue you a GIFT CARD for the difference. Exceptions apply i.e. Black Friday, Trade Shows, Boxing Day, and Final Clearance.
PRICE MATCH –
In order to receive a price match the item must be in stock at the Authorized Dealership (competitor) We do not price match direct sales from manufacturers or big box stores – ie. Costco , Amazon , Walmart as they are not authorized dealerships.
No price match can be completed after the sale of an item.

Notice About Lessons
As of April 21, 2020 Nova Sewing will no longer be offering lessons.
Any machines purchased prior to this date will be entitled to the 1 free lesson as per our previous policy.
