Making buttonholes on bulky fabrics such as wool or heavy knits can sometimes be a bit of a challenge. Precise placement is always a concern when doing buttonholes and the uneven surfaces created by some of these heavier fabrics can pose a bit of a trial for any sewing machine.
With this in mind, Janome have produced this Stabilizer plate to support and hold the fabric for  the extra stability needed to cope with these sometimes “hard to feed” fabrics.

Suitable for all Janome machines that use the Automatic Buttonhole Foot ‘R’  the plate also contains markings to help align the edge of the fabric and to help ensure correct placement.
